How To Install A Wall-Mount Modern Mailbox

Installing your modern wall-mount mailbox is simple and only takes a few steps. Follow these instructions to securely mount your mailbox to the wall:
What You’ll Need:
- Drill
- Screws (included or recommended by modern-mailbox.com)
- Wall anchors (if mounting on drywall or another hollow surface)
- Pencil or marker
- Level (optional, for precise alignment)
Steps:
-
Position the Mailbox
Hold your modern mailbox from modern-mailbox.com against the wall at the desired height and position. Use a level if desired to make sure it is straight. -
Mark the Mounting Holes
There are two pre-drilled holes on the back of the mailbox. With the mailbox held in place, use a pencil or marker to mark the locations of these holes on the wall. -
Prepare the Wall
Remove the mailbox and set it aside. Using a drill, make holes at the marked spots. - If you are drilling into a solid surface (like wood or masonry), you can drill pilot holes slightly smaller than your screws.
- If you are drilling into drywall or another hollow material, insert appropriate wall anchors to ensure a secure hold.
-
Insert Screws
Insert the screws into the holes (or anchors) and tighten them to the desired depth, leaving enough of the screw heads protruding to hang the mailbox. -
Mount the Mailbox
Hang the mailbox onto the two screws by aligning the holes on the back of the mailbox with the screws in the wall. Make sure it is securely seated. -
Check for Stability
Give the mailbox a light tug to ensure it is firmly mounted. If it feels loose, adjust the screws or anchors as needed.
