Is there any chance my modern mailbox will rust?

Our post mount modern mailbox can be purchased individually or with post for an extra fee of $125 (plus shipping). This allows homeowners flexibility when installing a mailbox, whether they plan to use an existing post or install a new coordinated system designed specifically for their modern mailbox model. Does the post ship separately from the post mount modern mailbox?
Yes. When purchasing a post mount modern mailbox with mounting post, the post will ship separately from the mailbox itself. This helps ensure safe packaging and protects both components during shipping. Customers will receive shipment tracking information so they can monitor delivery of each item.
Can the mailbox be mounted to my existing post?

There are two bolt patterns on bottom of our post mount modern mailbox: the standard 4" x 10" bolt pattern found on most post mount mailboxes, and a 4" x 4" bolt pattern designed specifically to align with our modern post. Homeowners should verify the measurements and mounting configuration before installation. If neither bolt pattern fits your existing post, you can easily purchase a universal post bracket found at most big box hardware stores. For the best visual results and easiest installation, many customers choose to pair their modern mailbox with a matching post designed specifically for that model.

Yes. When ordering a post mount mailbox with a separate post, the post will ship independently from the mailbox due to size and weight of post package. This helps protect the mailbox during transit and ensures both components arrive safely packaged. Customers will receive shipping confirmation once mailbox and post ship out.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes, Modern Mailbox offers international shipping options for all of our products. International shipping fees will be quoted and charged at time of checkout and vary based on location of customer's shipping address.
Do you offer RUSH orders?

Customization Options
What options are available for custom colors?
Modern Mailbox offers custom color options for an extra service fee of $75 per custom color. Customers can view all available custom color options, find color matches and even order samples of custom colors at Prismatic Powders. If you are interested in ordering a modern mailbox with custom color, please contact us at info@modern-mailbox.com or call us directly at 208-340-7597 and we can create custom invoice for your one-off project. Once we receive your payment, we will then order powder and begin order. Please allow 2 - 3 weeks for custom orders.
Do you have a locking mailbox option?
Yes, all of our modern mailbox models offer a locking option for an extra fee of $50. You can simply add locking feature to any of our mailboxes on product page by selecting locking option from drop down menu under security.
