I have to admit, our original horizontal modern mailbox was designed with our own home in mind but we quickly realized the dimensions didn't apply to our own goal of highlighting the unique modern characteristics of everyone else's home. A neighbor with an amazing mid-century modern home shared interest in our modern mailboxes but needed something that would accommodate their unique front entrance. Up for the challenge, we began noticing numerous mid-century homes with similar layouts: smaller space by the front door. Taking a minimalist approach, less definitely became more.

Our Vertical Modern Mailbox makes a statement while accommodating a smaller space. Whether you reside in an iconic Palm Springs gem, a bungalow in beautiful Boise or an Atomic Ranch in middle-America, our Vertical Modern Mailbox adds the perfect touch of modern curb appeal you are looking for. Handmade in the USA out of durable 16 gauge stainless steel and finished with a weather resistant powder coating, our vertical modern mailboxes are built to become future family heirlooms.

Offering the same mid-century color palette as our original horizontal modern mailbox our vertical modern mailboxes offer three unique color combinations: Monochromatic for the ultra-modern aesthetic, Two Tone for the true-to-era purist at heart and Tri-Tone for the happy days in us all. Select from neutrals: Black, White and Stainless or add a bit of pop with Robin Egg, Coral and Caribbean. If you have a special project in mind and are interested in a custom, one-off color option, please contact us for a custom color quote.

Based on dimensions from vertical wall-mounted mailboxes from the 1950s and 1960s, our true-to-era modern mailboxes are 6.75" wide x 10" high x 4" deep. Modern Mailbox also offers a horizontal wall-mounted version for those searching for a larger, period correct mailbox. Please contact us for a quote on any international orders, we are always happy to accommodate.

Payment is expected at time of checkout. Payments are received via PayPal, debit or credit card.
Please contact Modern Mailbox within 24 hours after purchase for any cancellations. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on any custom, one-off color orders.

Shipping

All Modern Mailboxes are handmade in America. Please allow 3-5 days for shipment. For custom, one-off color orders, please allow an additional 5-7 days for our powder coating team to create your masterpiece. All modern light switch & outlet covers are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and we are happy to combine shipping. Please contact us for a quote on overnight, express or international shipping quotes. We will ensure your package based on purchase price and will provide tracking information so you can easily determine arrival of your mid century modern inspired mailboxes, light switches and outlet covers.

Modern Mailbox does not reimburse return shipping fees unless we are responsible for shipping out an incorrect order.

Return Policy

We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase we are happy to provide you a refund within 30 days of your original purchase, as long as item is returned in like new condition.

There will be a restocking fee equivalent to seller's shipping cost unless you receive an item that is damaged or receive incorrect item.

Please contact Modern Mailbox within 24 hours after purchase for any cancellations.

Modern Mailbox offers a 30 day return policy on standard items returned in like new condition within 30 days of delivery. Simply contact Modern Mailbox about your return so we will expect your package. Once your modern mailbox, modern light switch or outlet covers are returned in like new condition, please allow up to 5 business days for payment to be refunded. Again, there will be a restocking fee equivalent to seller's shipping cost unless you receive an item that is damaged or receive incorrect item.

Please be sure to properly package and insure your returned items to avoid any damage during transit. In the occurrence your returned item is damaged during transit, Modern Mailbox will work with you throughout shipping claim process.

Shipping charges will not be reimbursed unless Modern Mailbox ships out incorrect item or we are not contacted within 24 hours of a cancellation.

No returns on custom one-off color orders.
