I have to admit, our original horizontal modern mailbox was designed with our own home in mind but we quickly realized the dimensions didn't apply to our own goal of highlighting the unique modern characteristics of everyone else's home. To better accommodate homeowners receiving a larger amount of mail and packages, we have expanded our line to include a larger version of our vertical contemporary mailbox.

Offering the same mid century color palette as our original stainless steel modern mailbox our contemporary mailboxes offer three unique color combinations: Monochromatic for the ultra-modern aesthetic, Two Tone for the true-to-era purist at heart and Tri-Tone for the happy days in us all. Select from neutrals: Black, White, and Stainless or add a bit of pop with Robin Egg, Coral, and Caribbean. If you are installing mailbox in area with direct contact to the elements we would recommend adding our rain guard feature (clear acrylic plate that is installed behind three front slots, blocking moisture from entering front of mailbox).
Based on dimensions from modern wall mounted mailboxes from the 1950s and 1960s, our large vertical modern mailboxes are 9" wide x 12" high x 4" deep. There are two holes on back of mailbox (4" apart) that allow you to easily hang mailbox on screws that would be inserted into your home's exterior (extremely easy to install and we provide stainless steel screws and anchors). Modern Mailbox also offers a horizontal wall mounted version for those searching for a wider, period correct mailbox.
